News Flash Sunday 18th

Hey commenters of doom! Quick news update since the Afrikaan drums is finding it pretty difficult to get online. However, she gets all the comments and they are a great source of amusement, strength and general amazement. The latter adjective is mine because Bex-speak and Kemmers-speak must be some new kinda language altogether!! In a thousand years time someone will read their comments to this blog and think they've discovered a new earth civilisation - or the Martians finally landed - or there's been another Tower of Babel incident!
Anyway, the trip to the lake and Bag End was "awsum". They had the bubble-gum fest of doom (see Bex for explanation!), not a lot of sleep but Bex did say that the sunrise on Saturday morning was one of the sights of her life (lots of "awsums" in the description). Yesterday afternoon she took the girls on the speedboat trip of doom and a swim. When she sent me a text last night I think she was having difficulty keeping her eyes open. I think she hope to take George and Anna Marie on a visit to the game reserve before she returns.
All is now well with the truck - new tyres, exhaust etc. so the care and compassion runs next week are back on schedule. Nutella stocks have been replenished - crisis over!
Time is now going fast. She will be at Rehoboth for this week and next weekshe spends two nights at Okahadja before flying home on the Tuesday. I know she's going to find it tough to say goodbye in spite of all the bugs and problems, so your continued prayers are appreciated. The way things came together over the weekend are real answers to prayer. She hopes to post at least once before she comes back. Bless you all. Flash (.........aaaaahh) D.U.

Drumsical!

I thought that would be a good full name for you!!!!

After kemmers comments i do have to say - the clapping last week was pretty spontaneous and it felt natural groovy and all that !

today has been a lazy day that involved Izzy tying baby rice - she wasn't very impressed maybe the pureedpear will go down better! what do babies in Africa eat - not cow i hope!
The speed boat sound greatbut not as good as the nutella!! I am sorry you saw a snake! you are very brave - i would have been on the first plane out of there - anyway best get on with the evening feeds - oh just a thought - some of Gods best gifts make your hands bleed whe you open them!!!

Dear Rebecca,
We have returned from the caravan. Had a great time and have been praying for you--had a photo of you on the wall, and prayed each time I looked at it!!! Thrilled to hear all the things that have been happening--its a great encouragement. Yes, God is constantly a God of surprises. Madge and Flash kept me up to date during the week with special prayer requests. Saw a picture of the lake you went to--looks lovely. Tony and I are looking forward to hearing all about your experiences when you return. I am amazed at Madge's expertise in the doom-speak and she even can quote poetry in the language--OR--did she write it herself?? She seems to have aquired a wonderful ability to put words of doom-wisdom in a wonderful way. Impressive!
Take care dear Rebecca, and God bless you, Love from Anne.

OK, Maybe i need to explain my comment a bit more!!
When God gives gifts they don't always come easy in fact sometimes there is a real time of preperation and pruning but that doesn't mean that God hasn't got the best for you - i guess similar to the eagle renewing his strength and going on to soar etc - anyway enough of the spiritual stuff...
Izzy had her last injections today and she got really angry with me and has refused to smile at me all night - she keep sticking her bottom lip out in a pout! Luke is away tonight so its me Iz and the animals - Going swimming tommorrow with Iz, sherms and Ben so that will be interesting!!
Love kenz
